(KBID4817) Bluescreens caused by regspy.sys will no longer appear

 

Issue:

On very rare occasions, when using BitDefender Professional Plus (all languages, v8 and v9) or BitDefender Standard (all languages, v8 and v9) or BitDefender 9 Internet Security you might encounter a blue screen with the following message:
DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELING_PENDING_OPERATIONS STOP: 0x000000CE(0xEE3BB966,0x00000000,0xEE3BB966,0x00000000) regspy.sys

Solution:

In order to solve this issue you need to perform the following steps:
  1. Upgrade to BitDefender 9.
    1. If you are a BitDefender 8 Professional Plus user, you will find complete information regarding how to update here;
    2. If you are a BitDefender 8 Standard user, you will find complete information here.
  2. Update your copy of BitDefender 9;
  3. Reboot the computer when prompted.
