In order to improve our ability to gather information for troubleshooting purposes, BitDefender has added an integrated support tool to the current line of desktop products. The purpose of this utility is to allow users to easily submit diagnostic information to our technicians, in the event that there is a technical issue with a BitDefender product.
In order to run this tool you will have to follow the steps bellow:
1. Open BitDefender and click on the "Support" link from the lower left side of the BitDefender window;
2. A new window will be displayed. Here you have the possibility to browse through the BitDefender articles that may help you solve the issues you encountered;
3. If you will not manage to solve the situation that you encountered after you read the article, you will simply need to access the link from the end of the article ("If this article didn’t help you please click here to contact BitDefender Customer Care");
4. After you click on this link the BitDefender Support Tool window will be displayed. Here you have 4 fields that need to be filled:
5. Make sure that you check the option "I agree to allow BitDefender to send product related information to investigate this issue" and hit the "Next" button;
6. Wait until all the information is gathered and sent, then hit the "Next" button and choose "Finish".
The BitDefender Support Team will analyze the reports sent by you and after that they will contact you with possible solutions to the issue you reported.
