How to restart the Windows operating system in safe mode
Summary:
This article details the standard and advanced procedures for starting the Windows operating system in Safe Mode.
The Safe Mode is a way of booting up your Windows operating system in order to run administrative, diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks on your installation. While in Safe Mode only the essential applications and files are loaded thus facilitating troubleshooting procedures that may not be available in Normal Mode (e.g. removing malware files).
Please note that due to the fact that a basic video driver will be loaded your screen resolution and color depth may be different than normal.
