Registering BitDefender 2009

After placing an order for BitDefender you will receive the installation file of the chosen product. After running this file BitDefender will be installed as a 30 days trial. In order to activate BitDefender you need to register BitDefender using the license key received at the purchase moment.

NOTE: The information displayed below is also presented in a video tutorial available here.

Note! You can register the product either at the moment of installing BitDefender, or at a later time, if you just want to evaluate the software.

• When the Registration Wizard appears, please select I want to register the product with a new key in order to activate your BitDefender (STEP 1).

• Type the license key in the edit field.
• Click Next to continue.

!Note: You can find your license key:

• on the CD label;
• on the product registration card;
• in the online purchase e-mail;
  

If you do not have a BitDefender license key, click the provided link to go to the BitDefender online store and buy one.

If you already have a valid license key from a previous BitDefender version (BitDefender Standard v8, Antivirus v9, Antivirus v10, Antivirus 2008 ), you can upgrade free of any charges to the newer version, as follows:



 

BitDefender Standard v8, Antivirus v9, Antivirus v10, Antivirus 2008	BitDefender Antivirus 2009
BitDefender Professional v8, Professional Plus v9, Antivirus Plus v10, Internet Security v9, Internet Security v10, Internet Security 2008	BitDefender Internet Security 2009
BitDefender Total Security 2008	BitDefender Total Security 2009 (without Online Backup)


Note!: BitDefender Total Security 2008 keys can be used in Total Security 2009, but the Online backup option will be deactivated. If you wish to continue evaluating BitDefender and decide to register it later, select Continue evaluating this product and then hit Next. You will have the BitDefender program active for 30 days, until you decide to register/buy the software.
