What's new in patch v2.4.228 for BitDefender Security for Windows Servers

 

Issue:

The current article describes the 2.4.228 patch, available for the BitDefender Security for Exchange component of the BitDefender Security for Windows Servers suite, released on June 30th, 2008.

Solution:

The above mentioned patch fixes:
  • the “White/Black List” component in the Antispam module, which is now working properly;
  • the memory leaks generated by the bdmaild.exe process, by upgrading the Antispam engines to the latest version;
  • rare crashes of the bdmaild.exe process.

It can be applied over the following versions:
  • 2.4.212;
  • 2.4.212 + Patch 2.4.214;
  • 2.4.214;
  • 2.4.214 + Patch 2.4.227;
  • 2.4.212 + Patch 2.4.214 + Patch 2.4.227;
  • 2.4.212 + Patch 2.4.227.
In order to apply the patch, please open BitDefender, go to the Update section, click Product Update and then Install.

Note: The patch 2.4.228 is cumulative (it includes the two previous patches).

Please take into account the fact that you may be required to restart the system if the previous patches were not applied.
