How to uninstall BitDefender Security for Windows Servers

Uninstalling BitDefender using the system tool

BitDefender Security for Windows Servers can be uninstalled similar to any other piece of software as follows:

1. Enter Control Panel and go to Add/Remove programs;
2. Wait for the list of installed software to be displayed;
3. Locate BitDefender in this list, select it and choose Remove;
4. Wait for the uninstall process to complete and then reboot the server if needed.

BitDefender uninstall tool

The alternative for this process is to use the BitDefender Security for Windows Servers uninstall tool.

1. Download (save) the file on your server;
2. Run the executable and follow the wizard;
3. Reboot the server (if needed) when the uninstall process completes.
   

Notes:

• The uninstall tool does not have Windows NT Server support. If you need assistance to uninstall BitDefender Security for Windows Servers from Windows NT Server please contact our technical support department.
  
• If you installed BitDefender Update Server from the BitDefender Security for Windows Servers installation kit we strongly recommend uninstalling it as well; you can reinstall it at a later moment together with the Windows Servers security suite.
