Troubleshooting the 'Cannot Display Groups List' error message

In some cases, the Enterprise Management console will display this error when launching the application. This article will assist you in troubleshooting the issue.

Detailed description:

This indicates some type of corruption in the file that contains group information. To resolve this, please do the following:
  1. On the Enterprise Manager server, close the Enterprise Manager console;
  2. Open Windows Services, and stop the service named BitDefender Server;
  3. Go to the following location, and rename the file groups.dat to groups.OLD: C:\Program Files\Softwin\BitDefender Enterprise Manager\BitDefender Server;
  4. Open Windows Services, and start the service named BitDefender Server;
  5. Open the BitDefender Enterprise Management console;
  6. You will then need to recreate any groups that you had previously defined.
