The BitDefender update process fails on slow Internet lines

The situation has been fixed by our team in a product update released on May 8th. The patch resolving this situation was made available on our update servers. Thus, in order to apply the fix all you need to do is make sure to update BitDefender.

However, in order to update BitDefender you need to perform the following changes:

1. Go to "C:\Program Files\SOFTWIN\BitDefender10";
2. Locate bdpredir.sys and rename it to bdpredir.s_;
3. Restart your system and try to update again - the update process will install the fix.

NOTE: In certain situations the bdpredir.sys file could be displayed as bdpredir (without the .sys part) because the extension is related to hidden operating system files.
