Upgrading to BitDefender Antivirus 10

Issue:

Starting with version 10 of BitDefender's line of solutions for consumers and small businesses BitDefender Standard Edition will be called BitDefender Antivirus 10.
This article describes how to upgrade from BitDefender 8 Standard or BitDefender 9 Standard to BitDefender Antivirus 10.

Solution:

Your current registration license for a previous version of BitDefender Standard was upgraded to BitDefender Antivirus 10 for the remaining licensing period. Upgrade your product now to benefit for free of the new features and enjoy the continued protection.

If you have BitDefender 9 Standard, the upgrade is as easy as downloading the setup kit and installing BitDefender Antivirus 10 without removing the previous version.

During the setup, the replacement of the bdfsdrv.sys file will cause an error message. Click OK to continue the installation.

If you are upgrading from BitDefender 8 Standard or want to have a clean install of the new version we recommend removing the previous version before setting up BitDefender Antivirus 10. After uninstalling the previous version, restart the computer, delete the Softwin folders, install and register BitDefender Antivirus 10 with your current registration license.

If your license expired, upgrade your license to BitDefender Antivirus 10 for 25% off the listed price.
