BitDefender antispam stops Hotmail messages from reaching Exchange Server
Issue:
When placed in front of an Exchange Server (BitDefender AntiSpam for Mail Servers, BitDefender Antivirus and AntiSpam for Mail Servers, or BitDefender for MS Exchange 2000), the antispam module blocks all messages downloaded from the Hotmail mail servers.
Solution:
The communication between the Hotmail mail servers and the Exchange mail servers is performed using an extended SMTP protocol (ESMTP).
In order to allow the reception of messages from Hotmail when BitDefender antispam is active, turn off the ESMTP verbs in Exchange Server.
