BitDefender v8.0.200 Update Release

On April 7th, 2005 BitDefender released a major update for the desktop products, which includes added features, fixes for known issues, and increases the product version to v8.0.200. Upgrade using the automatic update, or install the latest evaluation version.

• The password protection applies to the update settings as well.
• The user switching support can be disabled.
• The ability to backup the settings for quick reconfiguration.
• Additional actions in the Virus Alerts windows.
• A Report Wizard for submitting via HTTP memory dumps, suspected and quarantined files.
• Alternate update location.
• Product updates are postponed until next restart.
• Quick restore of Virus Shield and Virus Scan default settings.
• The on-demand scan can be run with low priority.
• An improved BitDefender News module.
• Visual status representation when minimized to System Tray.
• Disabling the Antispam module in BitDefender unloads the antispam toolbar from Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.
