The ActiveX controls needed for the BitDefender Online Scanner are blocked if the Internet Explorer security level is set to or a custom level based on it. The Medium security level allows safe browsing while maintaining most functionalities. To set the security level:
On default browser settings for Internet Zone, Internet Explorer will block the installation of BitDefender's scanning ActiveX control and will present the Information bar.
